The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 看了半部才发现男主是《巴斯特·斯克鲁格斯的歌谣》里那个嚣张的小个枪手。比利小子传奇落幕，可惜儿子演技不在线，一身奶气，和粗旷的西部格格不入。

有关游侠（也有说是暴徒的）比利小子传奇故事的再续写，剧情简洁紧凑，迟到的悲剧宿命终就上演。本片还原“古法酿造”，将正统西部片再一次忠实呈现，荒凉孤寂，爱与热血以及死亡，以及成长，以及躲不掉的债，皆如牛仔梦回。
人物塑造相当成功，瘦削干瘪，一个眼角耷拉着。

传统老套路，能看，且其他都很好，唯有最后枪战配不上先前营造的氛围和超高手的水平
