The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 最后两个人的癫狂源于放下一切，坦诚相对让彼此心灵靠近，真心蛮感人的。为女主的勇敢鼓掌，人就应该去做自己喜欢的事，哪怕事关禁忌，以不伤害他们为前提即可，何必在乎别人的看法

今日被影版DEH伤碎的心靠CFA来拯救了😭
这是人类互助的时刻，这是悲伤的时刻，这也是欣慰的时刻。
Apple TV+对于Disney+《汉密尔顿》的回应（这里单指确认购买，并以独占原创内容进行推广），调性和整个品牌大多数节目所聚焦的人性、同情心、积极讯息很搭，所以仍然认为它是目前最优秀也不“屈服”于算法和数据的流媒体（果吹两秒）；而在“911”的二十周年播出，也赋予了这个剧作更恰当的时机与意义（还有弥补了去年被退票的遗憾）。没有人会是一座孤岛，在最绝望的时刻，也能找到属于这个世界的温暖；人人真心相照，勇敢地唱颂；去记住那些属于我们原始而又共同的力量，专注寻找而非计较失去。最后10分钟，不停地沸腾，也忍不住跟着跳动。
没有特别抓耳的歌，印象最深的一段是不同宗教信仰的人一起祈祷。演员真的都很厉害，一人分饰多角，完全不会混淆。看完还是很感动的。

一部关于爱、欲、和满足的喜剧片。艾玛·汤普森饰演的55岁寡妇Nancy Stokes迫切渴望冒险、人类联结和性，渴望她人生中第一次很棒的性爱。丈夫Robert给了她住宅、家庭和看起来像样的生活，然而他已经走了，如今Nancy觉得“连有些修女都比我性生活更 丰富”，她一向是行动派，且当过老师，相当有条理，于是她马上开始实施计划：做了一些研究之后，Nancy雇佣了一个20岁出头的性心理治疗师Leo Grande，准备重启对自己身体的认识。

一波好几折好巧不巧终于在今天云看上了，剧里的主角说着911十周年纪念，我在剧外已经是911二十周年纪念了；也许正如我和CFA曲折的缘分一样，每件事都是有自己的时间吧。
歌好听，故事还行
感谢音乐，在尚未解除隔离的世界里，让我们回到了共享回忆的那一天。即便是遥远的纽芬兰，也没有人可以画地为牢，而当世界无法被关在外面时，希望我们都能和Islanders一样报以温情。
老中青三代精彩绝伦的歌唱演绎，在百老汇上演。
明明网易云听了好几遍才来看的音乐剧，还是一开场就泪目。想起来地震后的很多，人与人之间的相互关爱，是世界上最美好的事。
第3238-简单的小故事，因为真实改编而加倍温馨，赢在演员的表演和舞台的编排调度，衔接紧密可以表现能力，但也因为持续输出没有喘息，观看中间有点疲惫，看完一半后放了好几天又捡起来看的。
People want different things. 喜欢这个设定，这个流动的关系，有人认真听你说话，有人欣赏你尊重你。
有点失望，以为是全程唱歌，脍炙人口那种，结果更像是话剧，舞台布置别说和被大家说穷的《摇滚红与黑》比了，疯提尔的《狗镇》都可以吊打的水平，总之属于观看失望和实际间的落差太大
其实是百老汇原版舞台剧的实拍，但实在是精彩绝伦，再次遗憾错失参加原版舞台剧北京巡演的机会。从另一个角度看9.11事件给大众带来的影响，这个名叫纽芬兰的小岛向所有到来的客人张开双手拥抱他们，以互助和包容照顾他们，在这个特殊时刻让来自世界各地的人感受到爱和支持。无论你是谁，无论你来自哪里，这一刻大家相聚在一起，这一刻大家都是纽芬兰人。
