The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 很久没有看过这么长的电影了，琐碎的生活，好看。
有人说，这是纳粹版的十二怒汉。不错，场景的设置和影像的表达确实有近似的地方。但是，万湖会议的参与者没有十二怒汉们价值观的激烈碰撞，也没有耶稣般的拯救启蒙者。他们殊途同归，只是在解决犹太人的技术细节上争论，只是为自己和背后团体谋一点私利。这些衣冠楚楚的上层人士，心中唯有工具理性，他们是现代性这架大机器上冰冷的螺丝钉。电影拍的很克制，没有任何多余的渲染。因为历史已经足够令人错愕警醒了。
对话太密，看得窒息。90分钟时间他们用对话屠杀百万犹太人，并且以此为升官发财的数据支撑。
一不小心可能会被犹太人，又或者，一不小心就是坐在桌上讨论如何处置犹太人的人
