The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 紧张的亲子关系孵育出的暗黑面。纯把“鸟人”看成女主第二人格，剧情会出现很多漏洞。当成芬兰怪谈，鸟人是负面情绪滋养所生，真实存在，解决掉女主厌恶的一切后取代女主上位。
明明是北欧电影却有种日本片的压抑沉闷，长期压抑的教育模式使得内心的怪物幻化成型最终取代原本的自己，顺从怯懦让人失望的小孩死了，留下的是妈妈喜欢的样子。
其实有点无聊。因为剧情实在太简单了，简单到可以预见结局，这种怪异变种看多了就这样
