The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 是那种看了会感到幸福快乐的戏剧，唯一可惜的是作为一部音乐剧没有几段好听的旋律。
就音乐而言，没有印象很深的（其实是被女机长的那段吸引来的，结果发现在全篇里篇幅就一小段……）

节奏很好，角色塑造得也很好，设定很巧，能这么有趣确实意料之外，没打五星是因为旋律没戳中我，个人喜好。。。
感染力太强了，好好看，好好听，好好哭啊😭女机长的solo无论从音乐还是唱功都是完美的！讲述了如此悲痛的题材，但令人哭得情难自禁的时刻却不是因为单纯的悲伤，而是在音乐和演员表演的渲染下百感交集的心潮澎湃……真的太棒了！你永远可以相信音乐剧！！！

看了百老汇官摄的疫情后新版。I am an islander!!!
音乐歌舞都非常精彩。很有力量。有时热血沸腾。有时温暖感人。很抓人情感。
特别，特别，特别感动。愿所有善行都被铭记，并得到应有的回报。音乐本身不算出彩，绝大多数对白和歌曲节奏都偏快，虽然是为了营造紧张气氛，但如果有更多抒情旋律的适当调剂，整体感觉会更张驰有度。唯一印象深刻的歌是女机长的独唱，旋律优美，而且歌词特别励志。根据真人真事改编的故事线太有感染力了，数次泪目，如果改编成话剧或电影，可能也会出好作品。
剧本和音乐都好棒！一个很沉重的题材却一直通过场景转换来减轻大家的悲伤…加上个人的故事和小镇居民的爱心，最后看到眼睛湿润…

不愧是百老汇啊，舞台上的每个人包括最后的乐手都是魅力四射，通过舞台，我们看到了在甘德这么一个平时被人遗忘的小镇，危难时刻涌现出人性的光辉，又通过中东人，飞行员，纽约市民，失去消防员的母亲等等个体完整的反应了整个事件，轻松而严肃，幽默又不失温情
挺感动的。在现有体量和形式下做得够好了…（音乐剧本身就很难把内容做得特别深）这个戏本身也像911事件中的甘德一样提供了近乎乌托邦式的美好、友善、温暖。对于戏剧应该如何改编真实事件，和当下产生互动还蛮有启发的。
