The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 美好但觉得寡淡及有些狗血到不太真实，即使有那样的一个底也提不太其兴致来，但冲子枫妹妹还是值得。抖音植入瞩目。
3星半。充满了年轻的躁动，朦朦胧胧纯爱的粉红泡泡，电音的激情，精准对标年轻人市场，但是缺乏更广泛的共鸣，不过是一场年轻的梦。子枫妹妹的定位太模糊了，一会演大人，一会演小孩，对观众来说真的挺难代入的。
整体风格到运镜还是比较惊喜，灵气被放大了。吴磊没有落于下风，子枫妹妹更棒。唯一对那一吻嗤之以鼻，可接踵而来的家庭戏却又演得是真的好。与父母和解，与自我和解，和解是最大的母题。更多感触的地方是最终女方这里的戏是母亲攥着主轴，母爱伟大。
盛夏有没有未来我不知道，但听EDM大概是没有未来的。
让我很感动的是如今的中国市场能有这样同性情节的故事。尽管陈正道这么藏着掖着，线下QA还说ming是代表一个符号，其实他自己在做片子时都不知道爽了多久了。片子很多的细节，最感动的就是吴磊和张子枫穿过彩虹丝绸通往电音节现场，这真的太“酷”了。让人无奈的是，我们不能拿到明面上来讲一个探索青春期性取向模糊故事，但这也是属于中国Z世代的故事。
明眼人都能看出来的bl线
将bl同性恋包装成bg暗戳戳的初恋，这夹带私货的真是让人不适，电影里没有多少高三的学习内容，全是各种狗血的情感以及谎言。也就几个片段比较搞笑而已吧。最后的大结局更是强行升华，强行洗白，强行大团圆，真是够了。
校园永远都是美好的，社会永远都是残酷的。我们在爱情的道路上兜兜转转，绕不开那些不经意中的沟沟壑壑，享受过幸福，看破过红尘，一个人暗自过神伤，也在寂寞的黑夜中哭到天亮……我们一直在憧憬着未来，相信那不是一个梦，我们愿意长眠在这个自己虚构出的梦中。年度最喜欢的“荧幕CP”之一，吴磊的桀骜不羁，配上张子枫乖乖女的形象，有一种心生怜爱的反差感，两个人搭配在一起确实给人带来很强的好感度；电影的剧情也基本符合青春疼痛电影的定位，暗恋的人未必喜欢自己，喜欢的人终究不能在一起，那些年少的鲁莽和冲动，也会成为未来我们最甜的回忆。陈正道在电影之中依旧影射了一些LGBTQ的人物关系，很有趣，开放的校园环境更多的选择了包容，这也应该是现代社会应该可以做到的。
很不错的青春片，可能是宣传片营销bg 太多让一些人感觉被诈骗。“如果在未来，我们喜欢的人也喜欢我们，那该多好啊”。喜欢张子枫的角色，勇敢真诚沉静通透，郝蕾还是那么那么美。另外，吴磊那个角色绝对是gay啊，暗示得超明显了，字幕的女他完全是欲盖弥彰，看完感觉他还挺适合演同志电影的，赶紧下海吧哈哈哈
意外，还挺不错的。张子枫演得真好。吴磊懵懂的样子看上去也蛮纯粹。郝蕾太棒了。少年都晚熟啊，给我回忆得泪流满面。想起高中与喜欢的姑娘写同一本周记还封上装老成的名字：漏船载酒忆当年，想起大一跟着喜欢的姑娘报了街舞课结果考试被老师说跳得跟猴一样，想起2004年与兄弟和姑娘在朝阳公园万人草坪的朴树现场大声哭喊着还我青春……年轻真他妈的好啊。
狗血电影毁我青春。本以为是个什么励志的青春爱情故事，最后就这？女生爹妈隐瞒了离婚事实把孩子激怒没参加高考，于是两个复读生相遇了，疑似同性恋的男生和暗恋自己三年的女生去找海南自己的前女（男）友还发在自媒体上双双被学校开除，最后女生考上大学男生成了DJ。
剧情很真实 完全没有以往青春片的矫作 明线暗线都喜欢

本来想打四星，看好多人统一话术说营销诈骗，你们到底有没有进电影院啊?看过了谁会想到那个地方去无语，真看过的就是要夸，郝蕾张子枫母女表演的极其自然，前半段笑了好久，还有zzf真就电影脸，那鼻子我p图都不敢那么p🧐就是台湾青春片，在成长的道路上不一样全是爱情，只占一小部分，女主还是要回去学习的，还有男主好惨。还有这堆没看过就一星的评论，我就是要多打一星把你们的差评拉回来
过了青春做梦的年纪，看电影带着批判态度已经没那么容易被触动。都在解读同性恋，炒那么大力度的CP最后却想传达同性恋？
那是一夜长大的季节，也是恋爱无疾而终的预兆，
让20出头看着像28的显老直男演18的深柜……没法入戏。宁愿看张子枫个郝蕾演Carol.
片子看了，很台湾的青春片，刻画深度略欠缺，后面有点画蛇添足，其实到三亚音乐节就可以了，后面诡异音乐BGM和叙事真没要。张子枫和吴磊都不错，剧情也还挺好，网上尬黑特别多不知道为什么，青春本来就充满不确定，反复横跳挺正常啊，都是过来人，不是甜蜜大圆满就不叫爱情片吗？
6/10真是挺尴尬的，我再次被陈正道骗了，上次还是《秘密访客》，这次的观影体验和上次如出一辙，那就是看不进去坐不住。
