The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 并不觉得这个改编有什么不妥。无论古代当代，女性情感生活的困扰其实都一样。奥斯汀的最后一部小说，但现在都21世纪了，能换个口味去演绎这个悲伤故事也蛮不错，其中也渗出了不少奥斯汀式的幽默和讽刺
古典版的fleabag, sort of
不太忠于原著，把Anne给改成更符合当代“剩”女的戏谑样，连对二号男主的讽刺也少了很多
正视历史时间线，别再在这种题材里插政治正确了，五颜六色的演员等于出戏
让人无语的结局，女主很莽，完全没带脑子，叙事也很杂乱，没有重点，平铺直叙。
从70年代到现在，Slasher Film这个类型基本上走到头了。各种点子桥段能用的都已经用的差不多了。现在的新作少有佳作，各种续作不是卖情怀就是搞自我解构，或者彻底摆烂。《惊声尖叫》系列就更难了，就像片子里说的：我们也没有迈克·迈尔斯这样的不死角色每集都拿出来做反派啊！！！
还8错。恶搞前作。看的生肉。该杀就杀度4/10分，主角聪明程度5/10及格，血腥度5/10及格。
很好笑，很本格的slash作品，self-aware到每分钟都在抖包袱，如果和朋友一起看会很快乐吧，来押凶手是谁。看IMDb上的差评发现有的观众被戳到是真的很急了，一水的一星吐槽woke、far left对他们的残害，我大惑不解。不认为它有什么政治宣言，它明显从头自嘲到尾。还包含一些特别傻气的段落，而我完全可以原谅。
虽然是第五集，但基本上是类似去年的捉鬼敢死队、黑客帝国，就是多年后对最原始一集的致敬，炒冷饭。有新一代演员加盟，但老演员也都回归。要说这个系列真的算最早期一批大女主逃生电影，随着时代变迁，这一集的变化是，女性角色变更多，但是不尖叫了，而是个个都很凶狠。而且个人觉得这次更血腥、疯狂，有一些情节各种卖关子，也有一些意想不到的角色死掉。
世界上需要更多像惠英一样敢正面刚，甚至举止恐怖的底层女性。影片没有太多的惊天骇俗的场面，平淡无奇的剧情，讲述少女心中的独孤和生活压力下的痛苦，她坐上推土机，做了违背祖宗的决定……
先后看了07还有这部，还是很宽容的给个五星（用看布里奇顿的心态去看的），个人认为有这样的改编也可以接受，毕竟有了07劝导珠玉在前，更流行娱乐化的新版本无可厚非，男主的人设去掉了尖锐的部分，更加温和，看完像看了本破镜重圆的通俗小说，浪漫爱情故事让人觉得暖洋洋的。

权贵阶层欺压底层人民，看着真是好压抑啊，女孩有勇无谋的反抗亦只能给自己带来伤害，最后还是爸爸的保险金帮了她和弟弟。电影想表达什么呢？
这是啥？恐怖版过家家么？就像春晚上大张伟和王冕的节目，粉丝也许很high，我就只能抠脚趾头。

剧情超级无聊，也不吓人，全程王者荣耀，连跪六场。另，只有我一个人觉得小鬼脸特别萌？呐喊👶🏻
我不理解爸爸这种赌马赌到倾家荡产的人设为什么可以洗得好像这一切都不是他的错一样。女主看似正义地怼天怼地，其实选择的方法既无能又无脑。推土机的意象到底是什么，奋起的勇气？求求了选择一条正确的路吧。
3.5。girls victory，全面重启+全面致敬，正是因为漏洞百出才成就出《惊声尖叫》和《惊声尖笑》系列。
一星给达妹的颜值，一星给简奥斯汀老套也经典的言情剧情。其他真的泛善可陈。当然也有一点点反省，我反感刻意的diversity，但我这种反感与不适是不是也是一个要这样做的理由？我们的下一代，看着这些东西长大的人，是不是就不会有我这样的不适应？
