The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 虽然可能稍显刻意和矫揉造作，但是片子拍的非常的细腻感人。叔侄之间的互动与冲突到最后的和解与互相关心。小孩子真的是让人又爱又恨啊。中间穿插的小孩的回答也很有意思。

虽然没有旁白，但片中读的那些书、做的那些访谈、录的那些环境音（所谓“使不朽”）、日记性质的自述、平添忧郁的黑白画面，都让人想起泰伦斯·马利克式的（故作）深沉。片中所有受访者都是真实出镜即兴发挥（包括一个后来被枪杀的叫布莱恩特的黑人小男孩），这倒挺适合方法派的华金·菲尼克斯。不知道这种亦幻亦真的骚操作是不是受了去年《无依之地》的启发。

大量对话的平和片子。虽然是以孩童的视角切入，却觉得更像给大人看的。最后两人在树林中释放大喊的时候很感动。I am not fine and that is a totally reasonable response.

我们说的话大部分都是Blah, blah, blah
是那种没有剧情的聊天电影。开始还觉得有些无聊，越看越喜欢，看到最后又哭又笑。这世界让人困惑，你不好也没关系。
没有波澜起伏的情节，克制的黑白画面，城市的光影依然温暖。很多对白，舒缓而充满奇思妙想。采访和生活两条线都很棒。连孩子都知道情绪是需要表达出来的，为什么有那么多真心话，需要对着话筒才能说？
扮演一些角色（和自己对话）以及把自己藏起来让大人焦虑，这些把戏我太熟悉了。
看似平淡但却无比真挚的叔侄感情，黑白色调选的太好了，纪录片导演受到姐姐的委托照顾自己的儿子，叔侄在相处中不断破冰，叔叔告诉了侄子他和孩子姐姐关系看似不好的原因，以及孩子父亲的挣扎，最令人动容的时刻莫过于小孩要被送回家向叔叔道歉，和母亲来接他的不舍。影片还引入了许多问题，而儿童的回答却很有深度，令人深思儿童的视角，太喜欢小男主了。

It just reminds me again how much I love Mike Miles. Time and space and emotions are real in his films.
