The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. So charming this movie, what a life journey.纵使太多神话隐喻不懂，但洛维从鬼魅浮生就练就了一身艺术风格，令人着迷的时间体格，更别说还加了我最爱的神话原型。不就是一个畏畏缩缩的男人嘛，贪慕荣耀却贪生怕死，畏畏缩缩也不慷慨大方。还有导演关于绿色的说教，color of rot，color of life。直面生活的勇士，需要在壮志赴死的时候抽出生命的绿腰带。
摄影美术太精美了，令人陶醉，成功构筑了一个瑰丽的亚瑟王时代。整个故事塞了众多奇幻神话情节，但结尾一段成功让叙事摆脱执着于“奇幻构建”与“隐喻设计”的创作欲望，把故事从悬浮缥缈拽回到一个男孩精神成长史诗，很有力道，发人深省。片中短发的和深V的艾丽西亚都好美。本片也让我第一次成功get到戴夫帕特尔。
色调和打光都不错，但节奏太慢了，我都快睡着了。剧本没写好，37分钟，弃剧。

确实理想，但又有一些教育意义。

有点小失望 视听绝对没得说 但整部片子被随意的节奏和导演对原故事的过度解读有点拖垮了 而且台词写的是真的不行 和Robert Eggers比真不是差了一点半点
这电影蛮好看的，不知道为啥评分低，比较适合小孩看
当我们发现它可望不可及时 我们把它砍掉 把它消灭 躺在它之上 把它置于我们腹中 但它总是很快就回来

意外滿喜歡的。悟道之時，就是該死之時，重返大自然即重生。
很迷人的电影。本片可以证明，多元化的演员选用丝毫不会影响到一部本该优秀的电影。

真的太晦涩难懂，诡异却又迷人，看了解读才恍然大悟，终于理解了这部叫好不叫座的原因，虽然导演处心积虑，但这门槛好高
