The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 看不懂选角为什么要选Owen Wilson欸，真的不适合这个角色。以及那撅着的嘴，和干涩到一直眨巴的眼睛，实在难以忍受。

基本上就是普通人娶到白富美的爱情片~中途男主还跑去直播走李永乐路线~有点意思~看的时候感觉男主的笑容好僵硬，而且总觉得他鼻子受过重伤…还有女主的婚纱装扮还不如普通衣服好看…说起来今天刚看到一条微博提到在《民间故事形态学》里这类故事叫做“灰姑娘反串版”，然后晚上回来就看到这么一部电影~真是有趣~

感觉这片就是为了被拿去翻拍成泰版，韩版，日版和中国版的，剧本和主演们都时光倒转二十年可能还有点新鲜劲。不过竟然有了负负得正的效果，这种糖水味的甜腻产品背后也是一种真实。
都2022年了，為什麼還有人要講先婚後愛，為什麼還有人要看先婚後愛？如果郭敬明翻拍《諾丁山》的話，差不多就是這樣，看不見愛情，只有霸總與傻白甜性轉標籤，繼續著愛情片套路，再填塞換裝秀和Drama，可惜，又不夠美娛圈真實的Drama那麼刺激。
作为一部恐怖片肯定是不合格的，全片杀人桥段几乎一模一样，叙事节奏很差，但它沿用旧版的设定之余又加入了来自我们这个时代的解读，在某种程度上还是挺有意义的，只是表达得比较拙劣。蛮喜欢将糖果人视为精神象征这一概念，比一个具象更为深刻。配乐和摄影加分，开头的仰视镜头和倒转的logo有创意，或许是暗示了镜面空间
三星不足，个人不喜欢这种扯上种族歧视的都市传说。很想劝句男主，被蜜蜂蛰了就去医院看看吧
分太低了吧…镜头审美还不错啊其实，就是剧本不太行，而且高能都是假的…只能造成紧张几秒钟吧。胜在立意，如果这是针对种族恐怖主义的“复仇黑人都市传说”，那我真的很想看（或想拍一部）针对性别恐怖主义的“复仇女都市传说”，最好男的看了都不敢一个人去上厕所
当现生足够压抑的时候还是需要一些romcom来当一下调味剂。虽然离谱上天，Owen Wilson也已近乎毫无魅力，但JLo实在太美了，剧本就像为她量身打造般、这样的故事发生在她身上竟然让人觉得合理有趣。PS.穿着紧身裙和恨天高追爱的JLo实在是窘得可爱。
没有任何亮点，歌也不好听。既然如此为什么不把角色设定的年轻一点起码养眼。
231st 冲着JLO在电影院看老妞电影。也是北京封禁40多天后在电影院的首场电影。JLO依然明艳动人，在大屏幕上看不出什么瑕疵。但对金发男主要求也太低了吧，整个肉都松垮快塌了连鼻子都是歪的，都能让JLO心动。放弃能唱会跳肌肉紧实欲壑难填还有拉美大雕的马鹿马简直暴殄天物。

回归恐惧的力量源于恐惧本身，讨论种族问题下的生存与反击，与时俱进的议题加之充分承袭前作的精神，并佐以流行的“集体臆想”，并把精神层面的癫狂以艺术的方式表达，导演的野心可见一斑。从糖果人的蜂巢到男主的艺术创作充满了强烈的表达欲与伤痕感，镜子主题之作单独展示都是一副可圈可点的佳作。但是概念下放弃打磨剧本都快成了当今恐怖片导演通病，预告片的厕所大场面视听十分出色，但相对于全片主题则无疑是一次以为惊悚而惊悚的跑题。us与get out尚且以剧情带动主题，本片已沦落到以主题牵动剧情，乔丹皮尔的某些野心再不收敛，不如去写times时评
超长版MV，广告片大拼盘，欢乐版《诺丁山》。虽然很扯，却很欢乐。没什么新创意的轻喜剧商业片，茶余饭后消遣都显得有那么些空乏无趣，但洛霸气场全开，几段歌舞热辣十足，氛围感浓烈。所以在这样的强气压之下，剧情什么的，还重要么？

虽然很像为了宣传J lo专辑而拍的电影，但是最后真的很好哭😭剧情当然是很不现实的，但是一部欢乐的片子。小马儿银幕首秀还不错（或许是本色出演？）希望以后有更多的拍戏机会
