2022年3月20日观看。很感人，片尾曲也好听，歌词写得好。
多年未见竟然没有认出彼此，绷不住阿绷不住……
一如单枪匹马毁掉《梦二》的沢田研二浮表的演技，影片薄气得很，山田洋次对于电影，对于自己另一个人生可能性充满想像和温情，荒废在这个质感如《爱尔兰人》般单薄做作的成品里，可叹。
最喜欢寺新，真挚。对于某个东西痴迷，痴迷到不敢靠近让人好心疼。但是，不能接受对于妻子的伤害和辜负。天赋不得志确实消磨人，不过，这不是伤害家人的理由。淑子的年轻演员好喜欢，好可爱呀！

跟小说角度不同，结尾不同，整个故事也变成了男主的一个幻想。电影里男主被送到了奥地利的疯人院，象棋书内的照片也似乎就是那个象棋冠军，一切都可能是男主臆想出来的，可见纳粹对一个精神健全性格开朗拥有教养的一个人的精神与身体的冷酷摧残。小说很短，可以找来看看，做做比较。我更喜欢小说。象棋冠军利用并诱使男主的精神崩溃，以及男主人公最后又渐渐恢复了彬彬有礼，让人不寒而栗。
爱电影的人，看着电影爱去，是电影之神来了吧。
电影本身3星。茨威格，还有电影的营造，加1星鼓励。看过原著，电影有故弄玄虚的感觉，不如小说精彩。
哭死，从来没有见过如此庶民生活的视角讲述关于电影制作的回忆，山田洋次导演温暖的讲述真的让人对当年的生活心生向往
