The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 女主遭遇“死亡”的时刻。从阴间飘来的水中女尸与现实里水面倒影中的自己遥遥相望，这一情境使得结尾女主能够再次回家见到健康的父母，不是以闪回的形式，而确实是再次相见。而最后女主独自在自己房间（空间区隔世界）换衣服的时候意识清醒过来，既是时钟停止的时刻（阴间），也是时钟开始的时刻（阳间），这或许可以使片名多一份理解，来处是归途，或者归途是来处。里面蕴含的无不是在人们生老病死的工厂式流程（一是老人的背景都是工厂的工人，二是女主在医院亲历生命的死亡）下真挚的生命（🐻）与情感。

很想给4星但）最后魔幻收笔可以。整体还行，但仍不乏一些细节上的多余和缺乏。对我来说要表现这样一个困境与生命在庸常中逝去的主题，和这种摄像机的时刻运动感很矛盾，以至于情绪明明还在人和病人身上，摄像机却好像已经不耐烦要去找其他东西了一样
