The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 动画做出了许多真人无法通过演绎表达的东西，怪诞的作画也能看出许多对人类的隐喻，可整部电影的连贯性并不强，前半部分的惊艳到了最后也变成了空虚。
《2001:太空漫游》＋《潜行者》＋《生命之树》……？好吧，这种概括其实是一种思维的懒惰。这部电影，拥有着无与伦比的原创性。
