The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 真正回溯本源的恐怖片。与《鬼入侵》一样，真正的恐怖都隐藏在不容易发现的位置，而这一安排的成果也依赖于Nia DaCosta对于镜头近乎完美的认知，这一认知又使得全片所有的杀戮戏变得有艺术感，但也十分窒息。声效同样是一大亮点，很久没看到如此在乎声效的恐怖片了，对，从一定角度上来说本片很受《隐形人》影响。故事是好故事，但作为国人很难relate到吧。
这故事，能不能再老套一点？2022年了还有人拍这？还有人买票看这？

作为恐怖片，气氛上弱了点，但思想性不错，基本承接老版，让candyman成为弱者反抗的一个icon～
这是一部意图很明显的电影，残忍血腥的表面之下其实是美国黑人导演在坚持表达的主题和诉求，但除却之外便没有亮点；剧本给人的感觉是粗糙和模糊的，哪怕是基本的感官刺激也未能有层次地呈现给观众。两星。
以后这种强行隐喻黑人种族歧视的片子，能不能在预告片里讲明白些，不是黑人的我们就不来凑热闹看了。
影像也有出彩的地方
解构恐惧再塑造恐惧。普通人对candyman恐惧源自都市传说中无端端的暴力杀戮，而这恰好就是有色人种需要面对的恐惧日常。以毒攻毒，利用这点造了一个黑人守护神，还很礼貌的给一个召唤规则，你的自大念出了他的名字。
你拍恐怖片弄那么多隐喻干嘛？废话一大篇，真是浪费时间。
