很有英国味和凝重感的历史剧，尤其是张伯伦演得非常好。丘吉尔在回忆录里由衷地赞扬张伯伦是个仁慈古典派头的绅士，虽然他的努力只是延缓了一年战争。

关于慕尼黑协定的再思考，知道希特勒的野心却在舆论中无法做出更多举动，号称牺牲自己的名誉争取备战时间却其实助长了纳粹的飞扬跋扈，杰瑞米艾恩斯饰演的张伯伦可谓入木三分，而两位主角不同的形象其实也是那个根本无法预知未来的时代的不同群体的反映
“我们无法选择自己出生的年代，却能选择如何去回应它。”德国男主塑造的非常丰满，当年的中国不也充满了这样一腔热血的爱国者们，我们才能享受到当下的美满。
张伯伦就是个优柔寡断的老混蛋，德不配位害人害己，永世也洗不了白。
难得好片，我们只是无法选择生活的年代，英德新生代两帅比演得真好。
政治是人类最深奥的学问。扮演希特勒的演员真心不行。
