有现代性，科技对现代生活的重塑融入故事中。前半部分很好地化用《后窗》的互相偷窥的设计，营造了一种悬疑感和神秘气氛，不过电影之后就进入了普通的类型片桥段，失掉了之前铺垫的氛围。

前半段在房间中与智能音箱的互动可圈可点，后半段的猫鼠游戏、暴力反击就没啥新意了，角色们的表现匪夷所思、乏善可陈。女主角的造型和长相很奇葩。
