The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 没想到天性浪漫的法国人居然可以在科幻和喜剧之间反复横跳，而且还挺好看。人工智能领域很多前沿话题，比如脑机接口、意识转移、机器人的自由意志等等都在片中有所展示。
很多地方莫名其妙，但也算是一种特别的反讽喜剧电影

一看就很法国，法式小品喜剧真的融合很多科学主义思考，笑泪纵横
這劇情最大敗筆就是在科技發達的未來社會，管理方面的落後理念還刻意停留在十九世紀某個年代那某種不成熟的製度框架內，然後就看片中角色人物一起如何搞文藝復興打破強權專製，所以總體來說這片煽動觀眾反對政府管製的造反情緒，但法國人生活的情趣浪漫卻是這片最大魅力所在。法國人還是玩文藝的高手。
西特工男女通杀
本有成为反乌托邦巨作的潜质，但导演的浅尝辄止让这部电影最终驻足于一个小型室内荒诞小品，人物的特质也无法承载更为深远的命题。当然作为流媒体播放的家庭娱乐倒是绰绰有余。
