The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 太可惜了，如果叙事上能再“极简主义”一些，再接近《你从未在此》一些，或者换成索德伯格导演，也许能是一部观感非常奇妙的佳作。可惜塔里克·萨拉赫并不太会处理如此捉襟见肘的剧本。
一部中规中矩（第一幕戏节奏也有些慢也显得长）的商业动作片，剧情想要借这几年的新冠话题吧，但缺乏惊喜，还有无论是曾经的鲍小强还是男主角都明显老了
作为类型片，表演节奏配乐画面都没有什么毛病，我觉得还不错，就是现在看这种片子，任何需要解的谜在荒诞现实面前再也没有什么悬念了。

有个问题：本片为什么叫《承包商》，直接叫《喋血雇佣兵》或者《退伍老兵复仇记》不更直白吗？

电影里的美国人去外国杀个人比你去邻居家里偷个菜还简单，外国政府也不会追究。
"回家是記憶"，在肉體和心靈上所受創傷仍舊被作為消耗品隨時棄之以及相互自相殘殺上也是暗喻了老兵群體和大阿公之間的不平等關係和衝突是內耗的實質，死亡和不得永生的悲慘下場是可預期的結果。
