The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? Andrew Garfield唱歌还蛮好听嗷，不过再过两年感觉他的脸就要彻底松了。台词真的是，太絮叨。

削弱了我对歌舞片的好感，以自我（梦想）为中心的人，他的身上并没有光。相反，该片不断用29岁奔三的年龄焦虑来表达逐梦的急迫，急到好像有躁狂症一样，没有与梦想和衰老和解的追梦人，狭隘到令人疲倦。所以我无法被他激励，他也不是好的榜样。
Jon 这个原型人物采取 Monologue 的方式代入他曾经的几部剧中台上台下 融合生活困境 友情挣扎 创作焦虑 爱情平衡 看到对角色保留了好坏两面 没有所谓的纯净化当然不错 可惜还是很难产生接近感 拍摄不易 很多因 covid 的原因无法做到更好的更逼真的效果 让很多百老汇的传奇人物都出场表演也棒 但是 Larson 的真实一生与他的几部作品都让我很疲惫 个人问题 应该是天然对 musical 的一切都太疏离了 听感视觉两个层面完全不欣赏

影片选择结束于主角30岁生日晚会上蛋糕蜡烛前的一个笑脸，而随后的五年至逝于成名作登台前夕的信息留给了旁白。而这五年，必有他心路的转变、心理的冲突，这些恰恰才是我最想看的啊。无奈影片为了塞进更多的歌舞堆料，将看似充满巧思的叙事主线敲得稀碎，而最终未能讲好一个完整的故事。
而那些强行想要扣题和拔高立意的部分，也因整体影像感的缺失而失效。
加菲完全融入了角色，这一次他很用力，褒义的。
哭崩溃了……对rent无感的我，却在这两个小时里不断被rent的每个人物每个情节冲击。roger，mark，angel，mimi……他纪念了他们每一个人，他们永在。
本片的英文名直译过来就是“滴答，滴答……嘣！”这是一部传记歌舞片，讲述的是乔纳森追逐梦想的故事，看得我热血沸腾，热泪盈眶！
