The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. Johnny的收音器好迷人。让我第一时间想起「里斯本的故事」。放假了，看电影不再慌张，或者拆散情节断断续续。在幽凉的房间里看电影，是一个人静悄悄的欢乐。
3.5，自然但缺乏流动感，黑白摄影不错，如果有同题纪录片应该比这个好看。
感觉男孩的原生家庭和男主的纪录片项目各是一道命题，两边结合的还不够好。
任何型男老了都变成暖男，杰昆亦如是，在表现慈父感和为了和孩子好好相处的各种细节真的是分寸太好，好演员果然经得起任何角色。电影里老少互动的和谐感，黑白片的质感也超好。
温吞的像白开水一样，黑白色调是绝对的减分项，非常个人表达的作品。
3.5。A24的品味真好，褪色的纽约与洛杉矶是如此的“冷漠”，而以舅舅这个角色进入到一个破碎的家庭里变成了“褪色”教育里的父亲、朋友。如访谈节目一样给观众们上一课，效果不是很佳.....
相比于《二十世纪女人》的松散，本片的故事在情感塑造上还是相对集中的，尽管华金之前没怎么演过这种富有亲和力的大叔，但这么演似乎对他也不是什么难事。华金的角色就相当于清官难断家务事中的清官，妹妹因为整不了妹夫就拜托给了华金去带几天，然而华金在洛杉矶并不能兼顾工作和照顾孩子的生活，于是就把孩子带到了他要工作的纽约。工作中他经常问一些年轻人你们的梦想是什么，你们想成为什么样的人，但在这充满不确定性的答语背后，就连提问者自身也没有一个理想的答案，而记录在某种层面也算是角色自身对于生活的一些归纳和整理，外甥对自己的评价也多少有了一种在混沌中一语点醒梦中人的感觉。比较喜欢后半部分两个人在森林里怒喊的那一段，华金犹如神棍附体，把小孩子安排的明明白白，你糟透了，其实我也糟透了。

就很喜欢都是人生哲理的枯燥说教电影，每一段台词都是对思想的冲洗，即使是十五分钟的快冲，也让人神清气爽，爱的很。
