The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 出生入死的狗，精神受损之后要被安乐死，人类真是太残忍了，好歹也是为国服务过的，养一下也用不了多少钱吧，美国不是号称最爱狗的国家吗，怎会有这样的规定。

演技与情节，台词，节奏，都恰到好处，于是很无聊的故事也被演绎的相当精彩
狗和人相互救赎，都经历了战后的创伤，一路的陪伴，矛盾冲突，相互理解，相互救赎。更想养只狗了……
美版的问题在于给得太多太满，情绪全是张扬着的，让人看着感觉很吵很刻意，这大概是所有好莱坞翻拍北欧作品的通病，少了那一份骨子里的冷峻，多了嘈杂的过度表达和自我感动。
男一号演技，亟待提高啊，不能只有一身腱子肉。
有丹麦版的珠玉在先，翻拍起来文本上自然不会有什么大错，何况导演还是这种类型电影的老手。但是人物有几处的动机我还是觉得欠合理，好在Jake的表演在线，多少减轻了瑕疵，特别是全程多处近景特写，Jake都担得住。

很一般的小片。一个送狗公路片，改变基本没啥改变，就是关系好点，感情有点。其他的没啥了，很多胡闹，很美国。然后就没啥了。非常浅。人狗的感情也没有什么更深入的。就很平常普通。但没啥大毛病。勉强及格吧。

这个题材，人与狗的公路片，剧本完全可以再写得更煽情一点。
