The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 跟着家人看了一下，贵在四平八稳，很标准的励志电影。
这里面有条“夺子”——“弑父”——“成人”的神话原型暗线：长年受制于父权阉割的男人，认为长于妇人之手的男孩缺乏阳刚之气，欺压母亲并且妄图夺走和改造男孩。男孩最后不动声色地干掉了“伪父”，完美地诠释了什么叫“以柔克刚”，从一个看似心慈手软的“伪娘”蜕变成了男人。
只是对文牧野有点失望罢了，展现深圳的城市气质非得用航拍延时吗。
文牧野的第二部电影依然聚焦现实生活题材和底层小人物的故事，继药神后又迎来了组装小分队，展示各色“老弱病残”的众生相和奋斗史，一路跌跌撞撞、扶摇直上，最终涅槃逆袭的神奇奋斗故事，完美的点题电影名。整个时代背景也重现了改革开放后的深圳，正是一代代的打工人和外地移民推动了这座城市的飞速发展，让我们见证当今世界闻名的深圳之都，这部影片定能激励、帮助、推动更多在路上打拼的人，意义非凡，阳光普照。
这次做了一个本地的故事
这种电影太好哭了。觉得自己可以对工作、生活可以再上点心。
相信奇迹吧，但谁能那么有毅力坚持呢？小女孩真的是全片的亮点。
故事和情绪都挺到位的，婚礼那段确实有点突兀，但封禁期间看这片，确实有点胸闷。
总体来说是不错的，只不过有的地方煽情得有点刻意了，过于工整也是让人不想给五星的原因。
台风之后没有出现机械降神剧情，大家各自把剩余的工作带回家做，为了交付订单，被这一段有暖到。相比较整片里层出不穷的好人，童话般的故事，这一段有一些掌心里的灼热，握出了生活的夯实。结局标准的狗尾续貂，落笔在手术成功后的合影多好。努力吧，平凡而又不平凡的每个人
越往后越不太行，虽然从第一秒我就应该知道这是一个成功学鸡汤故事，可当我发现它真就是一个成功学鸡汤的时候，多少还是有点失望。
与其说致敬平凡奋斗者，不如是纯纯大男主爽文。
从内容上，也许最终的成功只是理想，大多数的追梦人都倒在了途中。
千玺似乎每一部电影都蛮惨，淋雨或者被打，或者淋雨被打。
说实话，我就想说，这个故事也能算奇迹?这部电影没有给我太多的真实感，我没有看见小人物有多努力，我只看见主角在经历一点点小倒霉后得到了许多人一辈子都得不到的幸运，随随便便拆个机就能挣上百万!!?而且除去主角，其他人根本没有生活压力，感觉他们的存在就是为了帮助男主的，典型的主角光环，配角围绕主角转，太悬浮太不真实了。同时，妹妹这个角色更是没有塑造好，真的完全没看出来她病得很重，也不能让我体会到主角对钱的急切渴望。好作品源于好故事，如果没有好故事，那还是别拍了吧😅
生活不易，还得继续。努力努力，总有奇迹！4星

不太喜欢结尾成功那段，小资本家依附大资本家的感觉，我是真不喜欢强行对别人感恩戴德。景浩妈妈看着俩孩子，说的那句，我也不想走啊，真给我弄哭了
文牧野拍的好比较成熟的电影，玩的好套路与深情。看得到小人物的不要命的拼搏，也穿插了诸多的不走运和一些冷漠，全片感情起伏很大，所有人都有美好的结局(没钱了吗？直接放ppt)。
演技不错，但没缺乏共情力，你愿意的桥段让人想起了当幸福来敲门，但却不能打动人
