The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 是非常老派的故事，可能和大家的预期不一样，布莱德利和凯特布兰切特的对手戏没有多少，这剧情也不太有明显的高潮，但是我挺喜欢的，跟原版一样讲宿命论，讲人生的起起落落，比原片还多了弑父的原罪、从一开始就交代了geek一直到最后轮回呼应，改掉了当初为了上映弄出来的画蛇添足大团圆结局
太老套了！都什么年代了，这种故事不带点新解读又何必翻拍呢……这片子甚至过不了Bechdel测试。鲁妮玛拉和大魔王竟然没有互动真是太让人失望了，这简直是卡司诈骗好么◡ ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ ┻━┻
整体来说这个老套的关于善恶到头终有报因果循环的故事，完成度还是蛮高的，当然对于这么个比较豪华的创作团队，也算是信手拈来，要说问题也不是没有，节奏上的缓慢让本身不是很复杂的情节在150分钟的时长下，显得拖沓，诚然库珀和大魔王的对手戏、畸形秀马戏团的猎奇还有一场场的心灵骗局确实很吸引人，但观影疲劳度真的蛮高，变成快节奏的100分钟左右，精彩程度应该能更上一层楼。
看到没，算塔罗的，玩通灵的，最后都干不过心理分析的，一个人命运的跌宕起落，恰好又暗合了玄学被心理学取代的历史趋势。

非常平庸的翻拍，即使制作水平都是一流的。大魔王依旧这么魅惑！
最後只剩下空具時代感的排場，除了攝影以外，如果能摘下奧斯卡其它任何獎項，那評審的眼光就非常令人懷疑了。

现在这种电影真的是不多见了，难怪斯科塞斯老爷子认为大家应该去看一看。我确实是守旧，这种近乎手艺人的感觉，cult电影的气质，真是太戳我了。说回电影本身，也就是说，这个lowlife，不管怎样，最后他都是piece of shit，因为他没法控制自己的欲望，克服自己的弱点。highborn也不是因为克服得住自己的弱点而成为highborn的，人性中有无法克服的欲望和弱点。社会有运行的规则，拒绝相信有什么命定

服化道还挺讲究，前面的马戏团戏份是陀螺味道的怪诞诡异。后面都是垃圾，人物动机没一个能合理解释的,我也是服气。
至于故事本身，只有一点，永远别相信男人的鬼话…

跟同年上映的SOHO区惊魂夜犯了同样的错误，节奏过于快了。剧本可堪称完美，但伏笔在电影中展示的太过明显，到后面就差不多能猜到结局了。很喜欢开头对布莱德利的角色的处理，不需一句话的将人物特质呈现出来。多加一星给结尾曲Hoagy Carmichael’s Stardust。
叙事非常平淡，但更大的问题可能出在库珀这张朴实的脸上。
