The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 三星半，轻松欢乐地看着两张punchable的脸不停嘀咕了一个半小时，中间还穿插着一些小煽情和一大堆段子。
标准化爆米花，观众群体应该是设置成青少年吧...现在看还是太老套了，但整个框架还是很成熟的
小品，低成本到就像剧情简介一样简单，就是合家欢，没法较真，可以说是流水线作品，或者行活模式。之前的铁甲钢拳比这个稍微认真点。

最大赢家就是星战了！相当爆米花，很欢乐，结尾又处理的有些暖心
老套却也好看，这种时空穿越题材都免不了对于亲情和爱情的救赎，在一切可遇见的发展下也做到了让人暖心的地步，以及话唠仍是一大特色，但真成了瑞恩雷诺兹所有电影里的设定了，还是希望不要被限制在这唯一的人设里
挺好看的啊，我们大人要打分也应该站在孩子的角度打分啊。美佳妈妈的勇敢和爱让人动容，孩子们对妈妈的爱也是。爱是相互的。
情感线非常优秀，有些片段对人类微妙情感把握很好。当然，主线剧情不怎么样，平均水平吧。时间旅行故事里也拍出了点新意。不过，都已经回到过去把时间线搞了个一塌糊涂了，还坚持不把四年后会因车祸死去的事告诉父亲，这是不是太虚伪？瑞安雷诺兹坚持自己的能力圈，坚持演贫嘴角色，这也挺好。

还行吧，当做爆米花电影可以，主要还是看小贱贱和他孩童时期的碎嘴
充斥着老套的情节、笑点、转折，肖恩·利维现在就这水准吗？还不如去年的《失控玩家》。死侍嘴炮打得再好也是杯水车薪的贡献，本片还不如改成漫威多元宇宙混战，死侍vs绿巨人vs卡魔拉vs艾丽卡，是不是更有看头？
可乐打卡，适合低幼小朋友，竟然不错，同一场好多小朋友说想再看一遍。
废话有点多以外是一部有趣的亲子片，套用了时光穿梭的外壳，还挺暖的。
【6.5】网飞还想拍多少大数据电影？...太欺负看电影多的观众了，每个自以为巧妙的卖点都是别的电影玩剩下的，揉碎了拼成一部，不香不臭的，哪还有一秒钟有新意？这是全体工作人员在“说得过去”的基础上疯狂摆烂，躺着赚钱呢吧...
