The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 看似平淡但却无比真挚的叔侄感情，黑白色调选的太好了，纪录片导演受到姐姐的委托照顾自己的儿子，叔侄在相处中不断破冰，叔叔告诉了侄子他和孩子姐姐关系看似不好的原因，以及孩子父亲的挣扎，最令人动容的时刻莫过于小孩要被送回家向叔叔道歉，和母亲来接他的不舍。影片还引入了许多问题，而儿童的回答却很有深度，令人深思儿童的视角，太喜欢小男主了。
妈，矫情却没有让我跟影片产生疏离感，大大喜欢。想买录音机
孩童时代是纯粹且通透的，而成人世界是复杂且充满谎言的。

看完以后一直纠结于
好像目标是essay film，结果像个video essay。今年看过的第n部主角进了精神病院的电影了。
影像很舒服。人物状态很惬意。故事很松散。不是我的菜。所以对不起。

年度十佳候选。时隔整整一个月，再次和华金在银幕内外相逢，依然会感叹他的美丽和表演的真诚(感觉好像在为以后带小河做准备LOL)。有些不同寻常的公路片，大小男主的主线、兄妹or姐弟关系的副线、所有小孩子的采访内容，三部分自然流畅的结合。很喜欢用不同书本的内容作为旁白来插入副线的剪辑。摄影完美，原来是《婚姻故事》《宠儿》《我布莱克》的摄影，虽然看不到华金眼睛的美丽颜色了。A24 yyds，但是都2022了你们宣发到底能不能卷一点！
安安静静的一直看到了最后的最后。静静地感受两个小时生命，和自己的焦虑与不安和解。
