The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 《廊桥遗梦》中的东木老爷子确确实实有其独特的男人魅力，但本片中还不断有女人倒贴就多少有些他想展现自己不服老的意味了。

故事很简单，情节没有什么大的起伏，老头的迟暮和孩子的朝气刻画得都不错，虽然不够深入，但挺自然。对于这样节奏舒缓的片子，风光本应拍得更好些
