The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 作为商业类型片真的很不错了，能在审查下做到元素集齐，不拖泥带水，摄影与美术质感完全在线，为什么评分会低，是类型片的套路真的很难符合当代观众的胃口了吗
没打三星是因为浪费了如此好的题材和原著基础，导演想放的东西太多，一看编剧一栏，好家伙，有6个。难怪在观影过程中总感觉是一个个片段拼接起来的半成品，支离破碎没有完整性，服化道具感觉也是草草了事，建议看电视剧版本。
假包真不也还是真的送出去了么，那个兵荒马乱的年代能相信日本鬼子送回来？

剧情与 2018 夏雨版电视剧大同小异，过关解谜、节奏紧凑，雷佳音这一版的组合也不输于夏雨版，但是 18 版更胜在田中千绘饰演的木户加奈。总体是合格的改编，看个乐不错，期待还能拍下去
李现从庙里出来，回了头就走了。这个角色的格局也会定了。
很成熟的商业片，节奏顺畅，演员表演都在线。我现在不喜欢看文艺片了，就喜欢轻松的，不要太多说教的，或者小众犯罪类型片也可以。
特效在线，悬疑解谜。做个俗人，贪财好色不好吗？葛优喜剧惊喜了要加分
及格以上水准，改了很多细节设定但保留了原著神髓，角色塑造也算完成任务。核心缺点两个，一是剧情节奏奇怪，映前估计重剪过，有些配音明显对不上口型，再比如开头交代真假佛头之谜的一段戏，那个剪辑方式真的是火烧屁股赶时间，却又给了付贵的死明显超出必要的片长；二是缺少许一城以死做局的核心动机，虽然台词里提到过日本人和老朝奉的觊觎，但比起原著的铺垫力度差距太大。原著第三部里写他孤身阻挡孙殿英盗清陵被打昏，从而认识到军阀、资本家和五脉都不可能保住国宝，无奈下自我牺牲，对前史交代合理得多也悲壮得多。电影的整体质感看得出片方很想把它拍成佳作，以现在展示出来的剧情容量看，原本正片很可能有150甚至180分钟，可能是为了商业考量才硬剪成两小时，为此牺牲了故事，不得不说有点遗憾。三星半。
所以许爷爷还是把真佛头给了木户了？

剧情一般，不懂古玩古董~演员都挺喜欢~现男友是反派角色
就那样。我倒是觉得雷佳音的表演和李现的咬肌都挺有意思。
合格，辛芷蕾真美，演技也很好，可惜套路里完全没啥重要作用。葛优那段明显意识到雷佳音真的不行……
这种古董题材带点悬疑还挺新奇的，整体还是比较商业化，特效比较不错。
1、故事、人物都很拉垮，局中局也比较容易识破，看到“阴在阳之内”就已经猜到了结局；2、硬凹一些很尬的cp笑点，李现造型合格但声音太出戏，幸好还有葛优拉回一点好感度。
