The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 系列换三次女配都意外不违和，小花格外适合SP和电影的设定，就是比较轻松点
闹腾到满屏尴尬，虽然翁婿二人这一部里面互相体验了对方的身份，最后冰释前嫌给这个系列画上了个句号，但是，为了搞笑而搞笑的各种情节真的很无聊，笑不出来啊，为了情怀，多给一颗星，最好看的还是一二部。

挺有意思，剧情设计的也不错，人鬼还能互换，哈哈
案件应该大家都能猜到但还是蛮感动🥲michi耳朵好小喔突然发现！以及我也能get到一个冷笑话了！
笑死了，根本没人在乎Mavis会不会跟Johnny在一起好吗？没有了酒店你们还继续拍个锤子啊？第四部动画设计已经正常很多了，但是太流水账太平庸了，笑点真的太老套了，所有角色都写的越来越烦。小朋友们千万不要吃烧焦的食物哦，会得癌症的。
剧情太伤心了，为了保护两个孩子，牺牲了一家人，真的很狗屁，本来想打高点的。
每一个故事系列的ending都是不舍
这一集简直超乎寻常的好笑，可是，喂，评分为什么这么低
就是很喜欢这部剧轻松诙谐的风格，这次的故事大概是借鉴了《东方快车谋杀案》，剧情安排还是有惊喜的。不过批评南云没看穿细节的确也在理，如果把他当时比如生活压力大或者遇到什么挫折作为背景可能会比较合理。日本电影还是适合走中二傻缺风，整个可爱~哈哈
感觉结束得很匆忙，新奇的设定没有得到发挥，我终于认识到梅菲斯哪都好，就是选老公的眼光指定有点问题，可能某种程度随她爸，Johnny加上三表哥的专业傻子配音就是纯纯一冲动傻子，Adam没来配有点可惜
没看完也不是很遗憾
又一个走下坡路的系列。如果上一部是喝酒蹦迪坐邮轮，这一部就是主题乐园……
还是很喜欢marivs，那么可爱的女生，而且她喜欢的那个他，就是原原本本的那个人，不需要变成monster
这部的故事好弱啊，逻辑牵强，剧情老套，谜底揭晓时毫无惊喜，反而让人满头问号……制作也略显粗糙，剪辑、配乐感觉都像是应付了事……
电影版比前期的sp好太多，恢复了之前剧集的水平，发挥还算稳定。

我真的是麻了 真的出了四 可以说是聒噪到了一定地步了 感觉已经放弃治疗的地步了 另外这个女婿真的有人喜欢么 感觉只有四个字可以形容了 就是一无是处 女儿也真的是烦了 可怜我的德古拉 停止吧 不要再拍了 真的
再也没有第一部的惊艳了，画面分镜啥的依旧很有意思，但是故事着实从头平到底
