The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 间谍爽片。其实构建Bill Martin 不就跟写同人小说一样吗？外加上法医级别的复刻。
前期计划像儿戏，两个小人物就定了？后面大敌当前，还各种吃醋。完全没有紧张的感觉
很不错；虽然文艺感有，但不是很足，这导致感觉剧情感觉有点拖拉，还有一种明明是战争片却拍得像家庭片的感觉。

真实故事改编却叠加了过多感情戏，对敌对方描写太少，以希特勒化之，所谓德国间谍剧情实际等于没有，缺乏真实感。

剧本很精彩，但同时也太剧本化而失真，整体更像一部人为夸张了情节的“小说”。脸书表演依旧娴熟，节奏尚可，感情戏略尴尬，不如一封老人伪造的情书打动人。
Operation Mincemeat为盟军登陆西西里的Operation Husky带来很大好处，但前不久在西西里Catania的“1943西西里登陆历史博物馆”中似乎没有看到关于前者的信息。
全明星阵容，两位达西先生还是不及弗莱明和西班牙组会抢戏。
